This is an American movie about life after death by suicide. Basically, is sucks worse than life before death. Everything looks, tastes, feels, sounds a million times naffer: roomates from hell, jobs to drive you demented, and endless flat landscapes littered with broken vehicles, tacky diners and general ugliness everywhere.

Even the light is flat. Everyone and everything looks drained and depressing. And smiles? Not a single one, in this limbo for suicides. Not even a sarky little smirk. Nope, it is all quiet and eternal and boring and desperate.

There is a family of bizarre Russians, who all commited suicide for different reasons and now live together, not smiling of course, but in general everyone else is isolated and lonely as hell.

So, it's a comedy, right? Plus it's a love story. Plus there's another love story inside the other love story, which is much cooler. Because the hero discovers that the girl he offed himself for (she dumped him), has also killed herself and is somewhere in his new horrible world. He sets himself the task of finding her, but gets distracted when he and his pal pick up a girl hitchhiking. A road trip for love hungry ghosts.

This is a movie for anyone who gets depressed. If you don't get depressed sometimes, then you are probably not quite awake yet. Wake up, feel the pain, then see the movie.
