ENTER THE FREUDIAN SLIP

Examines the power of using popular music, something people already listen to, as a way for people to express their feelings. Includes examples of therapeutic messages in popular music as well as original music by Freudian Slip, therapeutic rock band.

'ALIEN IN 30 SECONDS

Another hilarious, Angry Alien Productions re-telling, this time of Ridley Scott's shocker, in 30 seconds and re-enacted by bunnies.

YOU WHORES

KLF frontman and art terrorist, Bill Drummond's latest project is a website for people to advertise what they are willing to do and the price they are willing to do it for. The site allows you to browse the array of whoredom on offer and choose which you may be willing to pay the price for. "You Whores is free and there are no catches or charges." We all have our price. What is yours?

'FOOTY, FOOTY, FOOTY' with the BADGERS, BADGERS, BADGERS

Yes, the wonderful Weebls Stuff are back with their, sadly now redundant take on the Euro 2004 song. One of the most simplistic but spot-on maps of the UK I've seen in a long time. 'Goal, goal, oh it's a goal, scored by England, England.' Acht, never mind. Cheer yourselves up with the badgers instead...

'THE SHINING IN 30 SECONDS'

Another hilarious cartoon from Angry Alien Productions, this time re-telling Stanley Kubrick's, 'The Shining' in 30 seconds, re-enacted by bunnies! Stanley will be spinning as we speak

HILLSIDE ANIMAL SANCTUARY

Last year, my friend Jill Molnar adopted me a horse called William at Hillside Animal Sanctuary in Nofolk, where unwanted and abused animals are given much needed sanctuary. The sanctuary also campaign to improve the lives of the millions of farm animals. For only 6, you can adopt one animal or more. You will receive a certificate with twice yearly report and a photograph of each animal. Makes a great, organic gift, and helps animals at the same time.

Brilliant, diverse, well-designed site which features original writing on music, film and opera. Interviews - with everyone from Jamie Cullum to Stephen Fry, Gary Numan to the Indigo Girls. And they do it all for free.

BALLS

Wildly irritating and addictive game, the object of which is to sort out the red balls from the blue. Ocht, have a look and see for yourself, but don't blame me!

'THE EXORCIST IN 30 SECONDS

Hilarious, Angry Alien Productions re-telling of the classic 70's horror film in 30 seconds and re-enacted by bunnies! Don't ask me! Look for yourselves

THE A LIST

For lovers of scurrilous gossip, visit this site to find out who the wife-beaters, junkies, 'friends-of-Dorothy,' poor tippers, fan-shunners, beards, feuding divas, pot-heads and alleged closets are amongst the Hollywood/music industry shiteratti, as suggested by disgruntled waitresses in Beverley Hills. Honestly, you won't know where the last 45 minutes have gone!

THE GARDEN BLETHERS

Garden Blethering from the Scottish Highlands. Short tales of an anecdotal, unusual and gardening kind. Have you read the Blether yet? Do you want to know what Compost Bletherers argue about the most? Written and designed by Patrick Vickery, the gardener who writes - or is it the writer who gardens?

DRINK-O-METER

Answer a few simple questions and find out how much you've drunk over the years, how much you've spent, what you could have spent it on and who your drinking is on a par with. I was Ozzy. Hic.

THE RAFT

The Raft is a great new music site for broadband users, full of videos, band profiles, competitions, tour information, interviews. Current highlights include the video for Dexy's Midnight Runners classic, 'Geno' and the Marianne Faithful/Blur ad campaign for Erickson. The pop-ups when you first click on are a pain in the arse but eventually go away.

CULTURE WARS

Brilliant reviews website of the Institute of Ideas, includes reviews of all aspects of culture, written by both respected critics and enthusiastic amateurs, particularly focusing on fringe theatre. Most impressive, however, is its thrust towards not merely passively engaging in cultural life but arguing about and influencing it. Lots of great lectures, literature, film, exhibition links plus an archive of reviews dating back to 1999.

THE WEAKEST LINK

Another hopelessly addictive life-passer. Play 'The Weakest Link' online for the chance to win 1000. I managed to get 10 right in 17 seconds and still didn't get anywhere near getting on the high score board. Truly wicked

VIDEO NATION

Remember BBC's Video Nation, the series of amateur mini-films that used to be shown on BBC2? An online archive of the full 750 films is now available by clicking the logo on the left. The main film is changed daily and there's also information on how to submit your own film

Fear not, now you can do so from the safety and comfort of your own home with this two-clicks and your playing German Space Invader site. Click image to shoot your way down memory lane (use the space bar to shoot)

DEVASTATION

Oh dear - I've found another website I could possibly lose myself in for months. Devastation is an online interactive graffiti site that allows you to spray your own designs using a variety of spray types and colours. I've never attempted graffiti before but this makes it look easy, and the designs you come up with ain't half bad, and if you wish, go forward to a graffiti competition. 3 weeks on this and I'll be down the rape tunnel with my spray paint

SING WITH WING

Virtually live from New Zealand - the lovely Wing. Wing immigrated to NZ with her family about 10 years ago from Hong Kong, where she learnt to sing. She's been wowing them in the rest homes and hospitals there and has brought out several cd's. Listen and weep to some of her glorious Carpenters covers

JOHNNY CASH = HURT VIDEO

Was deeply saddened to hear of Johnny Cash's death, particularly as I was so looking forward to the follow up to his incredible last album, 'The Man Comes Around.' To listen to it is like sitting opposite Johnny in your front room, staring into his eyes as he pours out his soul. From his brilliant cover of Depeche Mode's ' Personal Jesus,' to the painful open wound of 'Hurt' (click heading to watch the video) and his ability to make overly familiar songs such as 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' and 'Danny Boy' into something completely unique and personal. He will be deeply missed. To listen to sound clips from the album, click here or to visit the Man in Black's official website, click image

HAZEL O'CONNOR - BEYOND THE BROKEN CLASS

Regular visitors to the site will know what a big Hazel O'Connor fan I am. First saw her live in the Claremont Bar during the Edinburgh Fringe a few years ago, on her 'Beyond the Broken Glass' tour. Seen her several times since in Newcastle and Dublin. The 'Beyond the Broken Glass' cd is still one of my most-played. You can listen to excerpts from it by clicking the image, which will also take you back into Hazel's spanking new, improved website for details of her perpetual tour

TERRY WOGAN

Always been a huge fan of Terry Wogan. To not find a place for this wonderfully witty institution on the site would be sinful, so forgive my indulgence. Click image to visit for the TOGS website, the virtual home for devoted followers of Wogan's BBC Radio 2 weekday breakfast show 'Wake up to Wogan'; to listen to the show live or recorded, click here; for a colourful animation of Wogan's 1978 hit record, 'The Floral Dance,' click here and be patient

Zapdramatic web dramas by Michael Gibson. This has to be one of my favourite sites on the web. THE URBAN DICTIONARY

Excellent, constantly growing slang dictionary where all the words are contributed by people visiting the site. Vote and comment on current words and definitions, or leave your own. Was particularly tickled by the various definitions of God - "something people look for but find religion instead/billions and billions of people all sharing an imaginary friend." The place to quell your desire to find the meanings of words like 'badonkadonk,' 'shazbot,' amongst others. Imagine 'Call my Bluff' with Beavis and Butthead as team captains and you'll get the idea

BILL HICKS

One of the most ironic moments of my life was being ejected from a Bill Hicks concert in 1992 for overly misanthropic behaviour. This was aided and abetted by me being one of the many people to whom Prozac proved to be just the opposite of a happy pill. I remain a huge fan of Bill Hicks though, and find his death doubly tragic because if the world ever needed his brand of scathing, biting satire, it's now. To visit People Who Hate People Party HQ - the official Bill Hicks website and listen to his song about war, click image ; for Sacred Cows - the Bill Hicks multimedia archive, click here; for a biography of Bill Hicks, click here; for 'Revelations' - a full transcript of Hicks' concert at the Dominion Theatre, London, click here; or for Hicks on DVD, click here

MICHAEL PALIN'S TRAVELS

You can keep your Ian Wrights and Ray Mears. Michael Palin is still the person I'd most like to go travelling with. I could watch 'Around the World' or 'Pole to Pole' a hundred times (I probably have) and never tire of Palin's polite, dry, English charm. He's now developed a website which offers travel advice, photos, anecdotes and video clips from the various series, and a chat room where you can share your own globetrotting tales. To visit it, click image; to read interview with Palin on the excellent Salon.com website, click here; for Python Online, the official Monty Python's Flying Circus website, click here; to read poetry by one of Palin's favourite writers, Kevin MacNeil, in showcase on this website, click here or for DVD's of his various travel programmes on Amazon, click here

THE CHRISTIAN ANALYSIS OF AMERICAN CULTURE

An utterly bizarre site from the US Childcare Action Project. The aim of the Christian Analysis of American Culture is to pinpoint "potential for destructive influence" in films. The reviews and analysis of each film are both scary and hilarious moral majority nonsense. For example, did you know that 'Babe: Pig in the City' is guilty of "inappropriate dress," "punk/hood manerisms, purse snatching," "gunfire at a story character," "the use of God's name in vain without the four letter expletive," "imagery of animal control police as brutal," "adult underwear twice," and "hanging onto an ambulance while riding a bike." God help us! A hoot.
