Tom Verlaine Interview
Interview with Verlaine on the Blogcritics website

some music is
too big for description
in any poem or even
any book or volume
of books
it can't be
contained because it
keeps expanding
like the solos
on this album
that grow more
exponentially mesmeric
the more you
listen to them
Marquee Moon
takes me
higher
than any other
album
scares me
with the sheer
beauty of it all
every day i give
thanks for it in
one way or another
to Verlaine and Lloyd
to Ficca and Smith
those gods
those shamans
of electricity

Glenn W. Cooper lives in Tamworth, Australia. Tamworth is Australia's 'country music capital' -- which is every bit as hellish as it sounds. His most recent books are 'Methinks I See My Father' from Liquid Paper Press; and 'Outrun Your Fate' by Lummox Press. Recently his poems have appeared in magazines such as Microbe, Free Verse, Remark, The Quiet Feather, Cliffs: Soundings, Zen Baby and many others. He is 38 years old. When he is not writing, he can be found worshipping at the altar of Bob Dylan.
