SENGA LAW
Born: 3 June 1961 in Ayr, Scotland. I moved through to Edinburgh on my 4th birthday
Q: When/why did you first start drinking in the Tynecastle Arms? A: In 1979. I started working in the pub part-time while I was at college studying nursery nursing Why do you keep going in?: A: Because I work here and it's the last piece of community spirit in Gorgie
Q: What is your favourite song? A: I like all music. Whatever takes your fancy, but my favourite record is 'I Don't Want a Lover' by Texas Q: What place in Edinburgh do you think every visitor to the city should see? A: Arthur's Seat. Up the top. Looking at the views Q: What don't you like about Edinburgh? A: All the litter. It's very messy. The schemies have no manners but that's just society in general
SENGA'S SIX ALL-TIME HIGHS
1. Getting the keys to your first flat. It doesn't matter if you get in the bloody door, just getting the keys is the biggest kick I've ever had. My first flat in Wheatfield was the nicest wee flat in the world. I'll always remember the feeling
2. Getting your exam results, passing them and being proud of yourself
3. Getting my first pub. Being able to call my own shots. It's mine. Everyone has to do it my way now, rather than the other way round
4. My baby's first smile. Nothing melts you like your baby's first smile
5. Your first legal night drinking with your mates when you're 18 and can get pissed legit and no get thrown out. You think you're young and carefree and feel you can do anything and everything in one night - and you manage it
6. The last time I was in court and won against a defence lawyer. Yeesss!!!
