Dried Marrowfat Peas


1 Pan of Boiling Water


Salt and Pepper


Sugar


Sainsburys Frozen Chips


Cod Fillets


1 Tomato


1 Lemon

Trev's Mushy Peas from Scratch


You can't get decent mushy peas down south for love nor money. Only heading north do you get into the land of the perfect mush, even better by the coast





1. Get yourself a bag of Whitworth's dried marrowfat peas. Do what it says on the bag regarding soaking overnight and what not










2. Add boiling water to cover








Simmer for half an hour to 40 mins, adding salt, pepper and a touch of sugar, during and at the end







Serve with Sainsbury's frozen chips, and Iceland chunky 100% cod fillets, bit of tomato and few slices of lemon
